FLOATERS is an interdisciplinary performance for 7 dancers. Set as a trilogy, the piece articulates the subjective perception of the reality, referring to the thematic of identity and alienation of human being. I explore the mental mechanism of projection that is an essential mechanism of empathy and identification.
With the 3 complexe choreographic structures, I evoke the being incessantly lost, trying to generate a new reality in order to survive and create a contained referral world.
I intentionally play with the sensitive and the emotional of the being, creating an environment where the audience is the main performer. As a receptor, it becomes actor through the performance; the individuals absorb and mirror the various events happening around them in a contain space.

The audience is the main performer of the piece.

This piece finds its own journey in several phases of research and performances in collaboration with a great team of international artists. I divided the piece in 3 acts; each one multiplying the directions of researches around the being: FLOATERS#1, #2, #3. The 3 parts structured within each other, increase the confusing ambiguity of perception, its perpetual instability.

“Everything you see or hear or experience in any way at all is specific to you. You create a universe by perceiving it, so everything in the universe you perceive is specific to you.” – Douglas Adams
